QUESTION: Do I have to be in the optional talent contests to win the Little Miss Pink Petals title?
ANSWER: Absolutely not. The results of the optional talent contest provide young girls an opportunity to practice their many talents in front of an audience and receive gentle feedback and recognition about how it was perceived. The judges are not evaluating the contestants technical ability. They will be more impressed with the entertainment value of the performance.
QUESTION: Is the pageant like the show “Toddlers & Tiaras”?
ANSWER: No. Little Miss Pink Petals is not a Beauty Pageant. Therefore, it is not necessary or acceptable for children to show-up with over-the-top heavy make-up. Through the preparation and workshops associated with this program, participants will make friends and engage in activities that will focus on skills in communication, public speaking, and talent. The girls will also be introduced to activities that promote self-confidence, self-esteem, poise, personality, and charm.
QUESTION: Do I need to pay all fees when I register for the pageant?
ANSWER: It is important for contestants to register before August 17, 2018 to ensure a spot in their age group and for pageant planning purposes.
